Supercharge your business growth with up to £3,200 in grant funding!

Feb 7, 2022 | Business expenses

With 2022 now well underway, could your business benefit from up to £3,200 extra cash to supercharge your growth plans? Sounds like a no brainer to me!

With funding of up to 40% available for Durham based businesses looking to spend on consultancy, marketing and equipment there’s never been a better time to invest in your business.

What sort of projects are covered by the fund?

The grant funding covers a wide range of areas to help you grow your business digitally or make it more resilient. Some of things covered are;

  • Creating a brand for your business
  • Building a website and search engine optimisation
  • Creating and managing your social media strategy
  • Buying equipment to help improve your business, such as computers or tablets
  • Broadband infrastructure and installation
  • Advice for Implementing a cloud accounting software to streamline your business
  • Plus other consultancy fees for digital transformation.

There’s a lot of different areas that are covered, it can easily feel overwhelming. We can support you to narrow down your options and advise you on the best way to the maximum return for you hard earned cash.

What other services are available?

As if that wasn’t enough, Durham Digital Drive gives you even more! Once registered, you have access to a wide range other fully supported services, including webinars and events to support your digital growth.

You can also book a Digital health check, providing personalised recommendations and suggestions, to help you on your digital journey.

So what’s the catch?

As with anything that sounds too good to be true, there’s always a catch. Thankfully, this one isn’t too bad! Your business must be already trading and located within in Durham.

There are other funds available outside of Durham, so if this is a sticking point, let us know and we can point you in a different direction.

It also worth mentioning you must be accepted onto the fund before starting the project, it can’t be backdated. The funds are also reclaimed retrospectively, so you must pay your suppliers in full, then apply for you money back afterwards.

There’s a minimum project value of £2,500 (excluding VAT) and a maximum of £8,000 (excluding VAT). This would entitle you to a grant of  £1,000 and £3,200 retrospectively.
